| There seems to be a hardware limit where it wont play any static, just silence. Maybe it should be set to these limits instead. |

I can confirm it works down at 79.9 (lowest area station, so I'm not sure about any lower)

I'm not a programmer, and haven't even looked at any code since an attempt a learning Pascal back in college, so excuse me if I get the terminology wrong.
It seems like releasing the firmware will not result in long-lasting changes unless two things happen:
1. DI re-releases the code after each firmware upgrade. 2. DI regularly uses custom built firmware (e.g. GarBage's) to make improvements in their own code.
Are these two things happening? Is DI planning on these two things happening? |

They are doing that. See here.

I'm not sure how or when Neuros Audio is going to pull in code/fixes/changes from the open source branch. I'm guessing they will, but it's just a question of figuring out the process and putting it in place. |

| Well, kudos to DI for taking my first suggestion , and I'm looking forward to seeing firmware updates that include user contributions. |

It comes down to a system of organization, which basically means we have to get a common CVS or SVN tree to share code in. That will be a huge undertaking for them, as they've only ever had a local codebase, not to mention the fact that they must keep propriatary code seperate from open code. (ie WMA decoding and such)
The time will come when this does happen. For now, we'll just patch any new code released as a result of new revisions. |

Pokereth: probably it will be you, and the rest of the people in the forums who will decide.
From the release of the first version of the source code from DI, there were two more official releases. It took me less than half an hour to combine them with my, altered yet, source codebase. It should make no trouble to DI to reincorporate any changes back.
So, if you like a change i've made, say it. Just post on this forums for people to check it out and see if that makes a majority. Also, if you think i'm a completely idiot for changing a feature that you wanted like it was before, say it also. And, make commomn sense, DI will not incorporate things like extended FM reception, just because they're usesless and annoying for the vast majority of the users.
I like DI (and i know you too), because they HEAR, what their customers like, and they act in consecuence. It is a precious gift they gave us, so use it. They'll be pleased, and you too.
So, feedback is your friend.
Enjoy your Neuros as much as i do, dudes.
