Just curious what the status is regarding both Musepack and gapless playback support for the Neuros. I wanted a Neuros so very badly, and came quite close to buying one in fact. In the end I purchased two Rio Karma's for the spouse and I, and have been extremely happy with them because of their excellent Vorbis playback (which is flawless even at q10 by the way, and gapless too). However, I would gladly give them up and buy two 80GB Neuros units instead should Musepack support ever arrive, as long as it was gapless of course. Then the Neuros would pretty much be perfect and nothing could beat it IMHO. The 20GB drive of the Karma is kind of limiting for one thing, plus battery life is not so good (I'm assuming Musepack would be a great deal better for battery life), and also no MyFi and the other wonderful goodies the Neuros has. Despite all those nice bells and whistles though, it's still hard to beat really good playback such as the Karma has, which of course should always be the most important thing really. If things aren't looking so good in this department despite the firmware going open source (which originally gave me high hopes) then I'll give up and stop pining away for a Neuros and be happy with my Karma. Thanks all!

Musepack support is in the works unofficially (which means we won't give it up as long as there is demand), and gapless playback I'm sure is on a todo list somewhere.

All stuff I knew pretty much already. I was kind of hoping someone might reply with a time frame, or even confirm that things are going well and that it will come soon. Hehe, I'm probably being much too hopeful. Guess I should just be glad with what I have, and that I didn't hold my breath and wait. I'm sure you know how it is. ;)

I'm also very interested in the possibilty of MPC playback.
I don't know if this could be of any help to the developers, but recently the musepack decoding library has been translated from C++ to C. Maybe this can make the things simpler.

Cane, the problem is that it needs to be converted to 32 bit integers. This is currently in the works.

Actually I don't know if mpc uses floating point arithmetic, just thought that a C libraries and bindings would have been more appealing. :)
Thanks for the info.
