Ok so I'm about to become a proud owner of the latest neuros II player bundle and I just can't wait. But that's not what my first post is about, I noticed in some posts on this forum that some people would like to start a web site for unlicensed artists that happen to own a neuros player. I don't know if anyone actually did anything about that idea but I'd like to donate my web space and address for this web site. Currently I have approx. 10GB of free web space (this is because I've known the site owner for awhile now and occassionally do some work for him and his site) that is completely free to me. I have nothing on this space but I was looking to do something with all this space. Actually, if I sweet talked the owner I might be able to get unlimited space but I don't garauntee that.
Anyway, I'm fluent in HTML, PHP, and MySQL so I can definitely do this but I think it'd be even better if we got a little development group going for this web site. Maybe I could do dynamic part (php) and then someone can construct the database (MySQL) and then someone can do the HTML side of it and some javascript to make it look pretty .

So bascially what I've gathered from the posts I mentioned above is that this will give artists the ability to upload song tracks to the site or post links to their own site with the songs. We could also do a sort of on-demand type of stream or maybe we could even take it a step further and do live radio broadcasts via internet. I'm pretty sure the site owner wouldn't mind if we did do a live cast. He's a good guy

So if anyone is interested gimme an email or post your thoughts. I'm just itching to do something with this web space/site.

BTW this service will be completely free to artists...it's free to me so it should be free for the artists.

i tried emailing you about this but still no response , but maybe you can respond if i acually post on your topic. i wouldnt really need a full site but i would just like a place to host the downloads for Sorune. the downloads arnt very big (like 4mb at the most) and was just hoping since it sounds like you have extra space and bandwidth if you could host the sorune files. please email me at noiz77@gmail.com and i'll talk to you more about it.

Why not use SourceForge's network?

As Darren, the creator of Sorune, said here that
quote:
I just don't care for the interface in general. Usually I always end
up going to the project's homepage to get the information I need. If
SF maintains a cvs server for you, then that would certainly be a
benefit for large programs. Not sure I see the benefit in something as
small as Sorune.
