I recently upgraded my Neuros to 80gb and was thinking of updating to the newest 'brain' unit as well. But before I waste my money...

I painfully tracked through some OLD posts and threads on some BETA firmware updates. I've also run across a few posts mentioning Neuros II and III...
On top of that, i've been playing around with some MP4 encoders recently with pleasing results.

My obvious questions weren't answered in reading said posts, so I asked them here. I'll be updating to the 2.28 beta's tonight, so i might answer some myself.

Gapless playback:
My little cousin has just bought a $30 player unit for his USB flash keychain that does it!@#
Is/Will this even possible with my now 2+ year old Neuros?

If not, WHY!@?

MP4:
Will the Neuros support this?

HiSI:
When the Neuros was launched, there was a service in place called HiSi. Which ID'd synched clips of music grabbed from the radio.
As nothing in life is free, I assume this service wasn't either. And it's cost, however large or small the fee was, was covered in the pricetag of each unit itself.

With HiSi no longer available to Neuros users; what service or functionality is now benefiting from that fraction of my 'invested purchase price' no longer used by HiSi. Better yet, is the removal of that service reflected in the price of units produced after the service was cut.

EOL:
If the answers are no.. then outside the shrinking bubble of use we currently rely on our Neuri for, is the End Of Life of the current Neuros models steadiy approaching?

I guess I can sum up my post easier by asking.
By summer I will be shopping around for a replacement for my Neuros.
Besides FM Transmission, which most slimmer players can do now 1 way or another, WILL MY Neuros ever live up the price I paid for it?!

Creating custom menus/interfaces, like I once dreamed of doing seems to require going to nightschool for C# or something..and I still have gaps after each song i play. 2 years+ later.

And with all respect, please don't just answer with.. "Well, the Neuros 3 will...blah blah blah"

P.S. I forgot to mention the 1 tetris clone developed after all this time too. Kudos to Garbage and those guys!

P.P.S. When will this Schedule be updated? [ http://www.neurosaudio.com/support/schedule/newfeaturesschedule.htm ]

Actually Michael wrote the tetris clone (not to discredit any of the work Garbage and the others have put in).

I won't be selling it.
When I di replace it with a new player, it will still make a great portable drive!
