I usually do my synching with sorune, but one day, it decided not to open any more. I had NDBM on my computer too, so i used that instead. The next day, i wanted to listen to something that I had on my player from before all this, but it wasn't there anymore. I thought I must have accidentally deleted those songs.

When I got home, I tried to sync them with NDBM again. The program saw the files I wanted and recognized them as mp3s, but when I tried to add them, it said "0 songs added to database". different mp3s synched fine. I redownloaded sorune, rebuilt the database and the songs magically showed up again. Maybe NDBM didn't add them because it saw them on the neuros already, but when it built the database, it still wouldn't add them. Can anyone tell me what's goin on here?

I'm at work now and all these programs are at home, so I can't tell you the ndbm version I used or how the mp3s were encoded, but I'm fairly positive that they were the exact same encoding as another set that synched fine with ndbm. The filenames weren't long or filled with exotic characters either. The version of sorune was .5 or whatever the newest one on their site is, but I think the version I originally synched those songs with was older.
