ive had my nueros for a while, and i was wondering why i cant search through my songs and playlists while a song is playing. many other mp3 players allow this, why not neuros.

this gets annoying when im sitting around i cant look at my songs and stuff.

do i just have to use playlists?

You need to install the new firmware. Starting with version 2 of the firmware, you could browse your music while a song is playing.

You can get the new firmware from here: http://www.neurosaudio.com/support/support_updates.asp

If you read the release notes, it details how to update the firmware (assuming you aren't using NSM).
http://www.neurosaudio.com/support/Firmware2-25_Release_Notes.asp

You can install either 2.25 which is linked on that page, or you can install the 2.28 beta firmware (which has been very stable) from here:

What firmware are you using?

That was a loooong time ago. Something like version 1.40-5 or around there?

You are simply pressing left to get out of the song's play screen right?

wow, that is some pretty old firmware... with the 2.x firmware you just press left while the song is playing to search through your library.
