I do not think that the mic will work with it(read below as well). the neuros does have a line in but i dont think that it supplies power. From the sounds of it the device gets it power from the line in jack...that may be why it says its only compatable with certain models of player.
-the neuros does have an internal microphone though. -preamp is a signal before it is amplified. ex: If you have a cd player that has a preamp output...you will have to run out of that and into an amplifier...(which supplies the power) and then to the speakers. Another maybe better example which in this case applies to the neuros is the preamp microphone that is in neuros products under acessories. this takes a micropone...either internal or external and gets a signal from it (like you talking). It then takes the signal and lets you make adjustments to it, and then sends out the signal at line level (low amplification used when listening through headphones.) to an amplifier or recording device...Hence "Pre-amp". The model in the neuros store acts similar to the one you were looking at except better quality and has to be plugged in to get its power.
-the neuros is bigger than most other mp3 players but that does not bother me. you can get an idea by writing down the dimensions and using a ruler to draw it on paper...that may give you a better idea.
If anyone who knows more about this thinks im wrong...please correct me.
hope this helps, Derek
The dissapointment of poor quality lingers long after the thrill of a cheap price...
