How easy is it to have the Neuros 40GB in your pocket? Are there any pictures out there that show all sides of the player, next to something else to compare its size to? |

It's slightly bigger than an Ipod. It's bigger then most mp3 players. probably a tad heavier as well. So what?
I find it fits comfortably in the inside pocket of my jean jacket. I would not want to put any such device in, say, your typical pants pocket, as there is too much chance of damage when you sit down, etc.
I have not found it's size to be inconvenient, although only had it a short time.

| Phil, why did you correctly use the word "than" only to incorrectly use the word "then" in the very next sentence? |

| Zithromax, why are you being a grammar nazi. This is a message board, not a spelling bee. |

| That doesn't make sense. They don't check your grammar in a spelling bee. You just mixed up two different things. Then and than are two completely different words in both spelling and pronunciation. Most morons use then all the time. This time is strange, though, because he used the correct word once then went on to use the incorrect word. By the way, is that first sentence declarative? I don't see a question mark. |

zithromax, go find something productive to do.
My Neuros will fit in most men's pants pockets pretty easily, though you wouldn't want to put something _else_ in the same pocket. I usually carry it in my bag, where obviously its size doesn't present a problem. It's not a huge object, but you're not going to forget it's in your pocket.

Id have to say correcting grammar in a world of relativism IS "something productive"
except I think this than/then switch was just a finger error:) |

and I wouldnt want the neuros in a hip or butt pocket. its way too big for that.
its bigger than almost all other players, too. I think the one piece NIII (?) will alleviate that though |

Zithromax: To answer your question, it was probably because I was in a hurry and distracted, and failed to read it over before submission.
Now a question for you.
Why would you waste your time, my time, and the time of everyone who reads ths thread, by picking on trivial gramatical errors that are totally off topic? Consider this a RHETORICAL QUESTION, as answering it would also be a waste of everyone's time.

aha! one of those situations where ONE person is allowed to make his statement, but forbids the other from doing so
:)
so...then...why would you, seraph, not just read the measurements, perhaps find something similiarly sized, and try to put that in your pocket then instead of "wasting everyones time?"
again, :) |

Yes I do think the size of my NII is a problem, as it will not fit in any pockets of my paints. I do not have the backpack either, just the flash brain. If I had the 20gb backpack then there is no way it would fit. I have to take the beltclip off, because that is so thick.
The size of it without any backpack, flash or harddrive, is what I would like to see. Of course this would be impossible, and I'm sure I'll get flamed.
And anyone who cares about grammer on an internet forum is a troll. |

| My Neuros spends about 95% of its time in my front pocket. It fits in the pockets of all my pants perfectly, and the best part is that you can feel the buttons on the outside of your pants and play/pause, switch songs, and increase volume without having to take it out of your pocket. This is something that is impossible to do with some crap scroll wheel. |

Funny you should mention that. I personally hate the size of the Neuros when I'm carrying it my pocket, compared to a regular DAP, but I manage. I love how you can feel the buttons through your pocket, though. Makes it very, very convenient.

I have a NII 20GB. I have carried it in an inside coat pocket (in winter only), but it's much too big to carry in a pocket otherwise. Carrying it in a backpack while listening also didn't work well, and it's clunky to wear it on the belt clip.
My solution was to get a tiny 512MB MP3 player (Creative Muvo) for listening while walking, and I now use my Neuros as the "master catalog" for my music, plus I use the Neuros as my car stereo and in my office. This works well in my experience; just because it's "portable" doesn't mean you necessarily need to walk around listening to it. I use the Neuros earbuds with the little MP3 player because I like them better than the ones that came with it.
I'm thinking of the NIII for a possible upgrade, but mosty because I need a bigger hard drive. :) |

i never had a spelling test while I was in college, or since then. what does it matter it i spell words wrong? i don't care about my grammEr, or what others thing about me as a result. spelling does not prove anything.
what is a troll? look in the mirror, and then watch the video on the following page and you should know what a troll is: http://www.grab.com/fun/toons/f/50019/9885 |

Wow, billybob, that's pretty immature...name calling. I have a feeling that you really don't know what you're talking about. In high school and college you are not given spelling tests because you are expected to spell words correctly. If you do not, it does affect your grade so it clearly matters.
That video didn't say anything about people who care about grammar on an internet forum. You're wrong anyway. |

How do I not know what I am talking about? Immature is getting on an internet forum, and crying about the way people mispell things.
Since I am not getting graded on anything with this post, or any others on this site, why should I care if I mispell something? Not to mention that I DID have some profs in college who would say, this paper is about subject matter, not a spelling test, so don't worry too much about it.
And yes, you are a troll. This thread has turned ulgy, and I am sorry to the person who started it, and to all those wasting their time because YOU wanted to come on here, and start correcting people on how they spell words.
Not once have you commited on the original subject of this thread. Go troll some where else. |

| Ok, don't admit you are wrong. I think your perception is quite messed up. When have I gotten ugly? Have I cussed? Named-called? Nope. You're the one name calling and you can keep doing that. If anyone, you have gotten ugly and not to mention rude. I won't sink myself to that level. I don't believe your definition of immature...it seems arbitrary. You might as well have said, "immature is doing exactly what you are doing because I say so". Can anyone agree with me on at least that point? Ya know what, it doesn't matter. I've invested more time than I had planned because someone had to make a big deal about me correcting grammar. |

No, you made it a big deal because you had to correct someone for no reason. Which by the way, if you are such a freak about it, why do you not put two(2) spaces after each period, at the start of a new sentence? That is correct is it not?
Name calling? If that's what you want to call it so be it. I have not however been rude I don't think. If you think so then I am not really sorry, as I am not trying to be being rude, I am simply calling it as I see it. If I am being called rude because I am voicing my thoughts, then so be it, but I do not "sugar coat" things.
Who cussed? Not me.
I think we will have to agree to disagree.
But again, when have you commited on the subject this thread was set up for? You still have not even after five(5) posts in it. You come in to this thread, and make no referance to the subject, but rather start correcting people for no reason.
So does your Neuros fit in your pocket? |
