Hi all,

I just got my Neuros back after support replaced a bad hard drive, aaand I can't seem to record from the microphone.

I press the orange button to record, right?

I got it to record once, in FM mode, but I can't seem to get it record at all. Press, press and hold, press 2 times, nothing. Headphones in, headphones out, microphone in, microphone out, FM mode, nothing.

Is it broken?

I just spent $70 on a new HD, and I soooo don't want to send it in again!

does it say its recording and then do nothing, or does it just not want to record? Does the button click when you press it? It could be the contact inside as well, but its really hard to tell.

if it just does not want to record, the button may be a little off or something. if your feeling adventurous, you could buy a T6 screwdriver and take the faceplate apart to check the button.

When I was a kid my mom used to tell me that curiosity killed the cat...What she forgot to tell me was that it also discovered the cat, invented the lightbulb, and forged the Neuros

It just doesn't record. The button does 'click', but nothing happens.

I guess it can't hurt to open it up, since it's out of warranty anyway... :(
