I'll be using my recorder in a car along with a bullet camera. I'll be using the auto record feature so I have a power switch for the recorder and one for the camera.
Is it possible in a future fimware release to have the option for the recorder to come on when it's power's connected instead of coming into stand-by as I want the recorder hidden out of sight and won't be able to use the remote.

Thanks,
Martin.

I'm looking for this feature as well. Same idea, only on a motorcycle.

We have developed a circuit "add on" to the R2 that will
accomplish exactly this idea. It is being manufactured at present.
We love what Neuros has made, and alot of us want to add to it.

The box we developed will house the full R2 inside, complete with CF or SD card, AV in/out 90 degree connectors, seperate 12Vdc and 5Vdc external plugs (for helmet cams), and a power switch.
As soon as the power switch is turned on, the R2 powers up and goes
directly to record mode.
The switch can be replaced with a "normally open" dry contact motion
sensor so that the R2 can be used as a security device.
At present we are trialling a battery circuit and rechargeable lith-ion battery for long portable use.
The box will be constructed of ice blue fluorescent plexiglass.
