Title: Frozen OSD Post by: Ché on May 02, 2012, 05:53:21 pm Hello there,
I have got a kind of problem on my neuros OSD. Sometimes my OSD unit does not respond to any operation by remote control. It is just frozen then it returns to work after 30 second approx. But frozen time could be random. The remote control works well with my TV set all the time. I am running 3.33-2.09 firmware. I have tried: 1) System reset 2) Factory default reset 3) Emergency firmware update (to the same version) 4) New batteries for remote control I have tried 3.33-1.77 but It still has the same problem. So I put it back to 3.33-2.09. Then I have checked top command by telnet when the unit is frozen. The result is: Mem: 29308K used, 2496K free, 0K shrd, 1288K buff, 15084K cached Load average: 2.83 2.91 2.90 PID USER STATUS VSZ PPID %CPU %MEM COMMAND 1005 root RW 23960 996 93.7 75.1 nwm 943 root SW 21600 941 2.7 67.7 nmsd 1119 root RW 2064 1118 2.5 6.4 top 832 root SW 0 1 0.5 0.0 iResizer 934 root SW 2060 1 0.1 6.4 telnetd 850 root DW 0 1 0.1 0.0 iencode_audio 1036 root SW 23960 1035 0.0 75.1 nwm 1035 root SW 23960 1005 0.0 75.1 nwm 1040 root SW 23308 1005 0.0 73.1 main-menu 1116 root SW 23308 1040 0.0 73.1 main-menu 938 root SW 21600 1 0.0 67.7 nmsd 942 root SW 21600 941 0.0 67.7 nmsd 941 root SW 21600 938 0.0 67.7 nmsd 996 root SW 19624 1 0.0 61.5 deskmon 1003 root SW 19624 996 0.0 61.5 deskmon 1004 root SW 19624 1003 0.0 61.5 deskmon 1037 root SW 19528 1005 0.0 61.2 scheduler 1083 root SW 19528 1037 0.0 61.2 scheduler 940 root SW 17424 1 0.0 54.6 xmms2d 945 root SWN 17424 944 0.0 54.6 xmms2d 944 root SW 17424 940 0.0 54.6 xmms2d 946 root SW< 17424 944 0.0 54.6 xmms2d I think nwm is taking CPU power, so the OSD unit cannot respond to remote control operation. Does someone have any idea what happens on nwm? How can I get my OSD works all the time? Why it's chewing the CPU, no idea... |
