1  Neuros 442 Personal Media Player / Neuros 442 - I need help! / Re: commodore PMC30 upgrade to 442v2 on: November 26, 2010, 04:22:34 am
I am of the view that it is not possible to upgrade PMC30 to 442v2. As pointed out by moderator, both are different companies. Hence PMC30 which is manufactured by Commodore cannot be upgraded to 442v2 which is made by Neuros. I firmly believe that even if a written request is made they will not upgrade it because it is against company laws. Anyway if he still wants to try his luck then he can do so by sending an email.
2  Neuros World / Joe's Corner / Re: American Techpushers - are they alive on: November 26, 2010, 04:20:51 am
I have the feeling that they are not trading any more. If he has already paid the money then I regret to inform him that he has lost it. Just out of curiosity I made an extensive search on the internet about them but to my astonishment I could not find a trace. I have a hunch that this is a fraud company. Anyway I would request him to let me know the phone number because then it will be much easier to trace them.
3  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - Tips, Tricks, and Hacks / Re: Link to bagster x11vnx not working for me. on: November 24, 2010, 02:04:41 am
I have also been getting the same message over the past several days. I am sorry to note that the server is down. I hope that the problem will be solved soon. Anyway I was able to make use of the copy given by the administrator. I downloaded it and opened it. I would like to thank him for providing it. Regarding the option to use "lpkg" packaging system I found it rather difficult to comprehend. I hope that a new post will be made explaining the details in a much simple manner.
4  Neuros 442 Personal Media Player / 442 Hackers Discussion / Re: How can we hack the 442? on: November 23, 2010, 07:47:47 am
I think the most important advantage of Neuros 442 is that you can store and view/listen media files without worrying about file format compatibility. I am at a loss to understand why so many people are interested in hacking this beautiful multimedia device and thereby destroying it. I personally feel that they should concentrate on making maximum use of it because they have already spent $300 for acquiring it. I would like to remind him that being a software engineer does not mean that he can hack anything.
5  Neuros Digital Audio Computer / Neuros Digital Audio Computer - I need help! / Re: Replacement battery for Neuros MP3 Player needed on: November 21, 2010, 10:16:12 am
I am sorry to say that nowadays it is very difficult to find a replacement battery for Neuros MP3 player. A friend of mine recently searched a lot for it but to no avail. If he is from UK then I would advise him to check it out on Dixons. If he is not successful then the next thing he should do is to send a mail to Neuros detailing the problem. Most probably they will direct him to the store where it will be available.
