Title: MPEG1 support
Post by: francoisl(at)37.com on September 20, 2005, 04:10:23 PM
I am looking at getting the NEUROS 442 to transfer pictures (max. 5 Megs) and MPEG1 movies (in 640x480, 30fps) from my Sony DSC-W1 digital camera.

Does the Neuros 442 support MPEG1 movies? is MPEG4 downward compatible?

I have a 2GB MS Pro card in the camera. Can I get a MMC adapter for the Neuros and download my MS Pro card to the Neuros?

Sorry, I am not an engineer type and would appreciate any help you may provide.

Regards and thank you (reposted in correct forum)

The MPEG-1 standard was originally designed for 1.5M bit/second datarates and 352x240 resolution. Later improvements allow for up to 4M bit/second for better quality. At present MPEG-1 is the most compatible format in the MPEG family; it is playable in almost all computers and VCD/DVD players.
