Title: Can't sync... arithmetic op caused overflow...
Post by: kcbladesman(at)hotmail.com on March 01, 2006, 08:59:11 PM
Hi, I have a 20 gig, USB 1.1 Neuros, that until recently has been running great.  However, the last week or so I have not been able to synchronize with NSM.

I try to sync, and originally got an error that the woid2pc.ear file was corrupt.  My PC also told me to run the chkdsk utility, which I have done.  The error that I get now (after running chkdsk, as well as format NAND and revive bad blocks in the 1+5+Play menu, AND Properties>Tools>Error-checking on the drive) is

"Starting Synchronization for YourSoundtrack with backpack1 backpack ...
Creating directories on device failed. Exception System.OverflowException: Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow.
Synchronization task 'Initializing' failed. System.OverflowException: Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow.
Synchronization did not complete."

The whole time it has gotten as far as initializing for about 3 seconds.  I did some checking on this and other sites and have tried everything I can think of to fix it on my own.  I've tried a new USB cable, as well as what is mentioned above.  Can anyone help?  I'd greatly appreciate it!!  Thanks!

Are you still able to copy files to it using windows explorer?

Yeah, I can open the drive in Explorer, add and delete files, and the same files show up when I unplug it and go into the File Browser.

I can't think of anything I've changed on my computer since it worked last.  I've been using version 2.28 for a couple of months with no trouble til now....

Uninstall NSM and deleted it from your PC, then reinstall NSM. Please contact support@neurosaudio.com, if this does not resolve the issue.
