Title: Error 0x5890
Post by: ouzo(at)icmail.net on April 20, 2006, 06:11:00 PM
Hey all,

after a huge system crash I had to reinstall my pc, using Windows 200 pro.

Beside of this I reactivated my Neuros II which was stored for about 6 month.

After restarting the Neuros I only got the message:

ERROR 0x5890

The newly installed NSM can't find the Neuros. Therefore I can't start the NSM because I don't have the serial number of the unit.

The Neuros HD (30GB) seems to be empty. I formated it before I store the unit.

Can anybody help?

Thanks

OUZO

I believe doing a HD format via the 1+5+play sequence will restore the special files so that the sync manager will work.

Disconnect the Neuros from your PC
Power off the Neuros
Press and hold presets 1+5 and press play
Do the NAND and HD format and then exit
Reconnect to your PC
See if the files are on the Neuros
If they are, try NSM again

Hi Darren,

thanks for this.

It's working again.
