Title: low volume Post by: rfitzva on April 20, 2006, 07:14:33 PM I have been recording a collection VHS tapes under the 2.0 firmware. While the audio can be heard, the volume is very low. With the volume settings on my laptop maxed out, I have to turn off all other sources of noise. The laptop right in front of me cannot be made loud enough to overcome other noises.

The volume is basically set at the source. If the volume of the source is low, the recording will be low as well. There is no amplification during a recording (it leads to distortions). You will see that if you record from a clear channel, the volume of your recording will be much louder. FJ |
