Title: Convince me to buy an 80gb Neuros
Post by: eastbayrider(at)hotmail.com on April 22, 2006, 05:03:45 PM
I think I want to buy one of these. They seem really cool.
I have a ton of music and want to put it all in one unit.
I'm worried about getting sent a dead unit though.
How often are do people get dead ones?
What is firmware? What programs/updates should I download?
What program do I use to transfer my mp3's off my computer to the Neuros?
The FM transmitter is a big selling point for me. How is the sound quality using it? I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, will it be a problem finding a station? Will purchasing the Belkin FM transmitter improve the sound quality?
Thank you in advance

Seriously, not to be crass (which I probably am), if you have to be convinced to buy a N2 80GB, especially at the price they are available now, you really don't need or want one.

I've had mine about 2 years (maybe more, time flies lately) and it's been perfect.  I've had no real problems and the two that I've had, support has been right on it and corrected it within a few days!

It's a precision instrument, not something to toss around (HD's don't like jiggles) but the sound reproduction and playback is AWESOME!

At the price it's currently going for (I paid almost double) you really can't go wrong for 80 GB!!!

Good luck on your decision!
