Title: Hardwire to car 12v? Post by: Will-Powered on April 27, 2006, 04:30:56 PM I would appreciate any info tips, or suggestions on how to power a R2 from my car. Ideally I'd like to hardwire one (or several).
Has anyone had luck with this? I would appreciate info on scratch-built setups as well as over-the-counter / RadioShack solutions. It seems that a few people are already using the R2 in cars. How are you powering the units?!?! Thanks in advance! Title: Re: Hardwire to car 12v? Post by: Ex-Navy on April 27, 2006, 05:56:57 PM I have used mine in my car, a racecar and a gokart.
I am working on a professional install for racing motorcycles. The best way and cheapest is to use the cigarette lighter if you want to remove the NR2. A cheap 5 volt regulator circuit is available from the guys at www.dimensionengineering.com The center pin to the 5volt adaptor is + Email me and I can send you a schematic with parts list if you need. I am sure others will provide you with some cool ideas too. quote: Ex-Navy Title: Re: Hardwire to car 12v? Post by: Will-Powered on May 02, 2006, 09:58:32 AM Hi Ex-Navy,
