Title: I'm I doing something wrong Post by: Grendel11772 on April 28, 2006, 05:42:53 PM Hello everyone,
I was given a MPEG4 recoder 2 as a gift and love the heck out of it, but I don't like the quality that any of the movies or TV shows that I record are coming out. I tried to record FFVII Advent Children but when I set my recorder to WQVGA on normal mode and put the card into my PSP I keep getting a data corrupted message on it, but when I set it to QVGA on economic mode it records just fine but the quality of the movie is very grainy, not bad still viewable but not the same quality that I would get if I hooked up my PSP to a computer and down loaded something and I'm getting damn near DVD quality. Is this the best I'm ever going to get from my recorder or is there a setting that I'm missing or skipping and not doing right. I'm using a Sandisk 1GB card. Anyones help would be great, I'm not that computer savy so keep the tech stuff on a par of "MPEG4 manual for dummies[:D]", thanks . Oh can someone also tell me what the heck is the TV VGA mode is about[?], when and where can I use that setting, the manual is as clear as mud on some things. Have you tried recording from another source other than the TV? Try recording from the output of a DVD player or VCR and then play it back on your TV. The TV should be in video 1 or aux mode depending upon the age of it. Does it have RCA jacks on the rear? You may have a poor quality signal that you are recording from. The NR2 should be giving you excellent quality video. Mine has always. Take the PSP out of the equation first, just to see if you are getting good quality recordings. About your questions of quality, check out this site and see the difference in online video clips with different quality settings. http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/review/neuros_mpeg4_video_recorder_2 Email me direct if you need any help quote: Ex-Navy |
