Title: Playlist Limit ? Post by: Dominiek (Belgium) on July 29, 2006, 04:20:32 PM Hi guys...
First of all : I already have my ZOLID/Neuros 442 for a couple of months and I'm very happy with it... Although I mostly use it as a MP3 player (I hope you forgive me). This weekend, I discovered a problem on this topic : I have the idea that the number of songs "shown and played on the default playlist" (i.e. AUDIO-directory, where I placed all my songs) is limited. The 'oldest songs' are not shown in this directory anymore, nor played. Each time I add new songs, some old ones seem to become erased... Though they are not erased physically : I can see them when I look into the directory via my PC. But they don't appear on the 442-AUDIO-screen anymore... Is there a trick or a bug fix or something to tackle this problem ? (A solution I thought about was to make 26 sub-folders, one for each starting character; but then I discovered the "shuffle" option does not look in those subfolders... Or am I Wrong) ? Thank you ! - I have put all my music in separate folders (a/b/c/...) - I have installed the "shuffle-script" I found somewhere on this forum And now I'm a happy man ! Title: Re: Playlist Limit ? If you are running Windows, the easiest way is to get the free ActiveState ActivePerl[2]. Other OS's probably have perl shipped by default. If not, it depends on the OS as to how to get it. Actually using the script I described in the previous thread[1], if you are having trouble with that, let me know. I wrote some more suggestions in the other thread [1], but pretty much you got it, but the one that says random_m3u.pl audall.m3u > audfav.m3u needs to have a .bat extension, like random_m3u.bat.
