Title: Where should files be for PSP to find?
Post by: EricR on August 02, 2006, 12:56:49 PM
I just got a Neuros Recorder and was able to successfully record a video to a Memory Stick Pro Duo.  I was able to watch the video using the recorder connected to my TV.  However, when I went to watch it on my PSP, the PSP said there were no videos on the Memory Stick.  Do I need to move the video to a specific folder for the PSP to recognize it?  I see folders for Musin and Photos but none for video on the Memory Stick.

I appreciate any help or ideas to correct this issue.

Eric

I think the latest PSP firmware (2.8?) is a lot less picky about movie filenames and locations - do you have that?

There are 2 things you have to be aware of:
1. The PSP will playback files that have been recorded with the QVGA or WQVGA resolution on the Economy or Normal Settings only. (Fine and Suerpfine will not work, it is a hardware limitation on the PSP side).
2. If you don't have the last PSP firmware (2.8), the files have to be in a specific folder with a specific file structure. Just format your card with your PSP, set the recording resolution to QVGA Normal and you should see the files on your PSP right away. If you install the new firmware (2.8) file names and folder structures are apprently no longer an issue.
