Title: Store in Toronto, Ontario & Zaurus Playback Post by: docbones on September 05, 2006, 03:26:02 PM Hello,
I would like to know if there is a store in Toronto, Ontario that sells this product. It looks like a simple way for me to encode movies for playback on my Zaurus at 640x480. Has anyone tried this with a Sharp Zaurus product? Thank you.. I doubt very seriously there's a store in Toronto that sells it, we are working on setting up a distributor there as we speak.

I am in Toronto and have used these excellent little Neuros recorders. We mod them for other uses too. The folks at Neuros do an awesome job! Since it runs linux I'll have to look into getting a codec for it. If I can get the sample files to play I'll definately get one of these units.
Can this unit record in any other formats? Title: Re: Store in Toronto, Ontario & Zaurus Playback Post by: TARTZ on September 06, 2006, 02:22:42 PM All the available codecs/formats are available here:

Title: Re: Store in Toronto, Ontario & Zaurus Playback Post by: docbones on September 06, 2006, 02:56:33 PM I've managed to get the 640x480 videos working. They all look great using Kino (front-end) and mplayer (back-end). The problem I have now is no audio. Still working at it and I'll be sure to post my results when I get it working.
Update - I've tried everything I can think of and read online. Still no audio. Looking at the debug output indicates errors in the audio stream so I'm guessing linux doesn't like this format. Can this device record in other formats? I created another thread regarding this question. I hope the answer is yes or that it will have the ability in the future. |
