Are you able to hear the audio if you view the playthrough from the NR2 while it is recording? I have reason to believe that some Intel-based Macs with earlier versions of Mac OS X 10.4/QuickTime/iTunes had a weird bug where audio files played fine in iTunes, but video files in iTunes showed the video with no audio even if the files were fine... is all your software up to date?
