The files in question play just fine in amaroK (http://amarok.kde.org/). Any other ideas?

My wife has several large mp3 recordings (~10MB each) that she would like to play on the neuros. But after selecting a recording, the neuros simply skips to the next recording, and then the next, and then the next... Other mp3 and ogg files play normally.

The files appear to be encoded with a 24kbps bitrate and 22050 Hz sample rate.

Any suggestions?

I was fiddling with this and happened to push the neuros into the hard drive case- it was 'firmly' seated before hand, but the shoddy craftsmanship allows some wiggle room. After pushing it in, the firmware loaded. [V]
