You should buy a bigger hard drive and change it out yourself. It's not difficult. You just need the right tools and the instructions.

I would imagine that you just have to stop the recording between each song and then start a new one. I know of no non-tedious way of doing it with the method you're using.

If NA really did care to release the N3, it would have been done by now. I doubt it's a personal attack on former Neuros owners or for just not caring. They probably think that there is greater interest in the general market for the Recorder or the 442 than the Neuros and therefore, they can make more money. I personally couldn't care less about the 442 or the recorder and I too noticed how many other things they have made since the last Neuros. At this rate I doubt the N3 will ever exist. I recommend everyone just buy something else. There's a lot of options out there and there's probably something that will work for you.

Neuros Digital Audio Computer / Neuros Digital Audio Computer - I need help! / Re: Backpack Options

That option was never offered. You didn't miss anything. There was a time that the USB 1.1 backbacks could be swopped by NA to the USB 2.0 backbacks for $60. After that time you had to buy a whole new backback hard drive and all. It was really a pretty lame policy. I've opened my backpack up a couple of times to replace the hard drive and the battery. It's not that hard and if you're careful, you won't damage anything.
