Neuros Digital Audio Computer / Neuros Digital Audio Computer - I need help! / Re: Power from USB?

It appears to be charging through the USB2 port, but this is minimal. It may, without being subjected to transfer or syncronization, charge very slowly. You probably wouldn't want to test the theory. If the power is low, you may loose power during syncronization. If it makes its way through the sync on low power, you could run out after the USB is disconnected. This would, likely, be when the busy icon is flashing.

You are running the newest FW and SW, so that shouldn't be the problem. Is your USB port loose? Do you hear any clicking or grinding sounds from the HD?
If not, attempt the following operation: Turn the unit off by holding up on the joystick and pressing the Play button. With the unit turned off and no cables attached, press and hold the 1 preset button, the 5 preset button and the Play button at the same time. You should boot into Diagnosis mode.
Right click on NAND (this is the internal flash chip on the player). Right click on Revive Bad Blocks disk and click YES when asked if you want to continue. Reviving Bad Blocks or Formatting the NAND will not affect the music on your hard drive.
After the Revive Bad Blocks step is complete, select Format NAND. Click YES. When this step is completed, left click to return to the Diagnosis Menu. Select Exit. Please let us know if the above does not solve the problem.

Our office is not really open to the public. Someone may have made an exepction in the past, but we are talking about this issue, now. You can use a courier service, but we do not recommend that anyone comes in and just drops their unit off. For the safety of the customer and to keep accurate records, we prefer to have proof, like a tracking number, to show that the item has changed hands. In the event that a unit is lost, or anything unfortunate, a tracking number would serve as proof that the unit was accepted in this office.
And, by the way, our records show that 'service trip #4' is not because of faulty equipment, it is because you dropped the unit and it no longer functions correctly. The sooner you send it in, the sooner we can take a look at it and give you a quote on the repair costs.

Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - I need help! / Re: Excellent product-Excellent support

Hi Chris,
We do our best to answer all E-Mails in a timely manner. If your E-Mail was incorrectly sorted or lost, send it again and we can hurry up and get to the bottom of this.
Also, it looks like your E-Mail address is hosted in the UK. If the unit was purchased outside the US and has a hardware issue, you will need to obtain a replacement from the vendor. Though, we can help troubleshoot here.

We see that you have also sent an E-Mail to support and have been replied to. If you need more assistance, feel free to contact either way. Though, E-Mails are always more direct.
Ex Navy is also correct. If your components will have the available ports, as some do, you can also try with the RCA cables. The SCART adapters may not be needed, in your case.
If it is determined, through troubleshooting, that your unit is defective, it will need to be replaced. We will need to know who you purchased the unit from.

Neuros Digital Audio Computer / Neuros Digital Audio Computer - I need help! / Re: Neuros II FM reception

A set of headphones with a thicker and longer cable can help all FM related issues. The headphones will act as an antenna.
It may sound silly, but you can also wrap the headphone cord around the device while using the MyFi/Neurocast feature.
You can also try to manually set the station. Try the lower or higher part of the FM band, rather than the middle. The MyFi feature has different results in all areas. Typically, it is just a matter of finding out what works where you use it.

Policies can differ between companies.
The required fax was received on 3/28/06. Your return label is being sent on 3/28/06.
Send an E-Mail to let us know when the item has been shipped back. We can then enter a replacement order with expedited shipping. If you let us know early enough, it can probably ship the same day as well.

If you are experiencing issues with the device, you should probably be posting the Support forum. Better yet, you should contact support directly. mailto:support@neurostechnology.com
This should be a minor set back that can be taken care of quickly. Mardibloke is right.
As with all consumer electronics products, there will be a small amount of fallout. We are sorry that it happened to you. Everything should be able to be taken care of painlessly.
P.S. There is not a sad or dissappointed enough face that I can insert here for iTunes.

Neuros Digital Audio Computer / Neuros Digital Audio Computer - I need help! / Re: Blues for a Car Charger
|
on: March 27, 2006, 08:52:10 AM

If the device works at home, and the car charger is the only problem, check the fuse. Is it broken through? The fuse can be replaced for less change than the average person will find in their pocket. Use a 2A fast acting fuse.
Do you only notice this problem when you start the car with the adapter and Neuros plugged in already? All cars, portible devices, and car power adapters are a bit different. Try waiting to plug the device in until the car has been started. Try not leaving the device plugged in when the car is off.
