Add an efficient 5 volt regulator (low q current) and attach
for + at center and you have an external battery pack for some very long use

As reported the Tekkeon is the same price on Ecost and comes with all the power choices by button with the appropriate tips...with a leather pouch.  i think the total power is a bit less but a much better overall solution with hours of play time.  it also works for any USB device and many many others with 7 or so voltage choices...

It is a power pack that can supply anywhere from 3 to 14 volts.  I'm thinking that if I end up getting a camera for my 442, this may solve the problem with trying to record while on battery power.

I bought one a few weeks ago from Ecost.  i went on Tek's sight for a USB cord.  it works well.  it is a sophistacated battery--well designed and excellant power output for its size.  You do have to be careful to lock in its voltage as i fried an IPOD video quickly scanning through the voltage options.  it comes with an adaptor that fits the 442.   I took it with me to europe and was able to go six hours non stop.  it has a 110-220 so using it world wide is fine.  Customer service was great when i had tip questions...
