Thanks big time EM, I've copied your post and will be picking up QuickTime Pro.  It's amazing that this stuff requires so much effort.  The company that comes up with a singular solution will make a mint...  (I had hoped it was Neuros!)

What is "FW V2.00.10"?  Is that a Neuros patch number or a PSP patch number?  (Thanks!)

Let me try to explain, please correct any misunderstanding on my part.  I want to:

1.  Hit the record button on the Neuros recorder to record a tv show, my input is my directTV, ie. start recording.
2.  Pause the recording for a commercial.
3.  Restart the recording by hitting pause again after the commercial.
4.  Viola, I have paused during recording from an input.

Yes, this functionality is readily available on all VCRs.  My understanding is my new Neuros cannot do that.  Am I incorrect?  Thanks for any response!

Electron_Matrix thanks for the support.

Just got my "Recorder 2" thinking that I purchased a VCR like recorder for my PSP media.  Recorded my first stuff off ESPN and can't edit out junk I don't want (like commercials).  THIS IS A DEFECT OR AT LEAST MONSTER OVERSIGHT.  Please fix this!!!!!  Good grief.
