1  Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - Feedback & Discussion / Olson news ? box? on: November 03, 2006, 12:35:40 PM
Dear Ex-navy,
is it possible to have some upgade on your system? i noticed that on your web site you already sell the device to make a mobile neuros device but it is only a "circuit". here some questions, hope you will find some time to answer

1. What about the plastic box? i dont know for the other guys but i believe it is a very useful product but, without a plastic box we cannot use it as we do not have idea on how to protect it.

2. Also, i noticed that we need to find a way to create the cable connector, is this right?

3. is it possible to connect it to a 12v motorbike battery instead of a battery pack? or do we need to put a kind of "regulator" in between the battery and device to protect it?

4. could you please confim how to use the pin below?

Switch Connection = CONNECT IT TO THE ON OFF BUTTON (PROVIDED BY OLSON AS WELL, IS THIS RIGHT?)
Vin (6.5-35v) = POWER IN (CONNECT IT TO THE BATTERY PACK OR TO THE BIKE BATTERY
Ground = GROUND
Camera IN = VIDEO IN (RCA CONNECTION FOR THE CAMERA)
Ground = GROUND
Switch Connection = USEFUL IF U HAVE 2 NEUROS UNIT OTHERWISE EMPTY
Ground = GROUND
12V out = CONNECT IT TO POWER THE BULLET CAMERA
Microphone IN =AUDIO IN (RCA CONNECTION FOR THE MIC)

5A. My question is, how can i connect it to the neuros as everything is supposed to be used with other stuff  (i'm talking about audiio and video? (see above)
5B. where do i connect the "neuros power (+5v).

Hope this questions will help all the other guys as well.
thank you very much

it s 5v @ 1000 amp. not 1500 like it is supposed to be.

i think it wont work.... Sad

u can find convert to 5v @ 1000amp in any electronic shop for 10euros anyway

i dont know if this will work with neuros.

the original ac/dc adapter is 5V @ 1500amp not 1000amp.

I reckon u can t use it, especially with large CF memories (more power consumption) am i wrong?

hi guys

I’d recently purchased a neuros recorder and I d like to mount it on my motorbike.
My huge problem is how to power it through my bike battery (12v) as I did not have space on the bike to install a battery pack.
On the Neuros power adapter there’s written, it works at 5V and 1500amp.

I went into many electronic stores but I couldn’t find a converter to use as the only one that I found was 12v to 5V at 1000amp (the one used for ipods)

I reckon I can t use it (becouse of the amp difference) and I d like to know if you guys can help me on finding something suitable.
any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I just wrote a topic but maybe it was better to post it here.. sorry!

..first of all thanks for such disposable advice which i find so useful.
Could you please help me to understand something?

- does the device comes with a kind of plastic box to allocate the circuit?

- does it come with a cable+button to switch recording on and off (as shown on the video example) or do i need to find out a button and a way to connect it to your circuit?

- how can i connect it to my neuros?

- there's written that it offers a 12v-5v output. I reckon i can connect to it my bullet cam and my neuros, is it right?
where does it take the power then? 12v input?

- last... is it possible to order from italy? how much would it be?

thank you so much for your availability and help and sorry for the several questions!!!
