The format recorded by the NR2 is ready-made for iPod+iTunes. You shouldn't have to add on anything.
Are you able to hear the audio if you view the playthrough from the NR2 while it is recording?
I have reason to believe that some Intel-based Macs with earlier versions of Mac OS X 10.4/QuickTime/iTunes had a weird bug where audio files played fine in iTunes, but video files in iTunes showed the video with no audio even if the files were fine... is all your software up to date?

Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - Feedback & Discussion / Re: R2 autorecord finally fixed !!

I thought this was awesome but perhaps I spoke too soon... although upgrading my firmware did make improvements to Auto Record, it made my Timer Recording option literally nonfunctional... it just wouldn't record anything, even if Auto Record was disabled and Timer was enabled the same was as before. It became so frustrating that I ultimately downgraded. I would be glad to just use Auto Record if they would fix the threshold issues that have been around since the NR1, but they apparently haven't. (I'm referring to the device's tendency to turn off and back on if the signal strength becomes even just slightly weak, even if it looks fine on the TV or if recorded in Timer mode.)

Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - Feedback & Discussion / Re: Settings for new iPod

The video is not scaled down for the iPod - it is scaled down by the iPod.
Although all iPod video models have a 320x240 screen, Apple's recent updates enable them to play back files of resolutions up to 640x480, scaling them down in real time.
Bottom line: if you are going to play back the files on a TV from your iPod, use 640x480. If you aren't, then you may as well use 320x240 to save space.

Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - I need help! / Re: How do you add/modify TITLE tag?

Hello,
I had a similar issue with my iPod, and it turned out to be because iTunes/iPods can respect "TV Tags" but can't really write them properly. There is a program called Atomic Parsley out there that has been ported to many platforms, including a GUI freeware version for OS X called Parsley Is Atomically Delicious. This program does a great job at writing TV Tags the way my iPod needs them to be.
Perhaps you are having a similar situation?

Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - I need help! / Possible Bug When Storage Space Is Low

Hello,
I think I am having an issue recording TV with the Neuros Recorder 2 when it gets close to filling the SD card. For example, if I set it to record two one-hour programs, the first will be about 400 MB and contain the full hour, but the second will be about 550 MB and still contain only about 40 minutes of the show. Suggestions?
Thanks.
