1  Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - Feedback & Discussion / Re: Vote on bugs and enhancements on: August 25, 2006, 10:41:49 AM
Fix the 2 hour time limit split which causes a loss of about 3 to 5 seconds of video, and a waste of time if you try to rejoin the files into one.

At least bump it to 2.5 hours, which will cover many more titles than 2.0 hours does.  But unlimited would work.

Second would be some smart algorithm that turns the record off when the video is no longer changing (like blue screen).  Then the recording would stop when the source stopped.  No device that I own quits outputting video when it is done, so the auto record function won't work

The input and output are both composit signals (left/right/video).  The physical connectors are 1/8 inch mini jacks to connect to supplied cables for both the input and output.

If you are using this for a iPod or PSP, the quality is more than acceptable.  I get about 2 hours for each 0.9 GB of storage.
3  Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - Feedback & Discussion / ***Please*** fix 2 hour limit!!! on: August 25, 2006, 10:37:01 AM
I just received my Neuros Recorder a few days back and have really fallen in love with it.  However, one thing that irks me very much is the 2 hour limit imposed on each recorded segment.  At first I figured I would just make a new file with the segments joined, but that had two MAJOR drawbacks.  First was it added about a half-hour of time to splice/rewrite the video (just disk processing time).  That is simply a waste of time.  But the worst issue is that several seconds of video are lost when the recorder has to setup/switch to the next segment.  This means a very bad gap appears in the joined video!!!

Imagine my surprise when the last thing I recorded went over by 3 seconds!

For god sake, guys, at least bump the limit to 2.5 hours.  That would probably cover 95% of all movies.  As it stands, I'd say about 1/3 of my collection won't fit on a single 2 hour segment.

This is SO FRUSTRATING!!
4  Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - Feedback & Discussion / Re: 4GB CF Card on: August 24, 2006, 05:07:30 PM
Well, I can't answer that question directly, but I can say that I just purchased and used a SanDisk 4 GB MS Pro Duo card without any problem.  They are selling for $130 from newegg or zipzoomfly.

My largest CF card is currently 2 GB and it works fine.
