Audio issue

Hi Guys,

If you have an audio issue that is not related to cables or source devices(DVD,PS2,VCR, and etc..) Please contact me at 1-866-5-NEUROS, we would like to resolve any hardware audio problem ASAP.  

Chris C, we could not reproduce the audio issue and have deceided to use your returned unit my test unit, it works well with my PSP.  If anyone has an audio issue, please contact me at Neuros.

Hey everyone.  I have a solution!  I myself had been very frustrated by the fact that all my recordings done with the Neuros recorder had this annoying, loud, buzzing and/or beep tone.  This, and the fact that the audio was so incredibly low, I could barely hear the audio.  I have read a lot of posts from people with these same problems, and not really any solutions.  Then I read a post where someone suggested buying a Radio Shack 4-Channel sound mixer, and I did, and sure enough, that solved the problem.  It was a little tricky to hook up (for someone whos not very technically inclined, like myself), and you do have to buy a couple extra things (I ended up making 3 trips to Radio Shack before I had everything I needed), so I'm putting together a list, with diagram and explanation, to help any one of you that wants it.  Just email me and I'll be glad to email it to you.  To buy the mixer and cables etc. at Radio Shack, it will cost you no more than 50.00.  Yes, it's an additional expense (Which REALLY should not have been necessary Neuros!!), but believe me, you'll be sooooo happy with the final result.  Now the audio levels are nice and high, I can hear them with normal headphones even in noisy environments, and it's not distorted.  And there's none of the noise/beep that I was getting before.  Two birds killed with one stone!

Upgrading your firmware to the version we released today should help as well.  It boosts the volume and fixes the incompatibility with PSP v2.7.You can upgrade here:http://www.neurostechnology.com/support/support_MPEG4_R2updates.asp

Audio recording in the electronic industry is the hardest to solve.
Hence, radio stations, we have lots of similiar problems with
source noise. I think you solved the issues of balanced audio to
unbalanced audio problems. We encountered this problem at the radio
station when taking an "off the shelf" dvd player and connecting it
to our mixing boards in the studios. There is a cheaper fix, try
an unbalanced to balanced unit to see if it is fact the problem.
