I purchased a used Neuros Recorder 2 and tested it out today.  I knew it had power (green light) and the remote was working (cell phone cam test) but I wasnt getting the menu on screen.  I could hear the TV change buzzing sounds as it powered up and down so I knew it was getting some kind of signal.  Double check RCA connections, yeah everything seems right?  So just for the heck of it I try different connection combos.  It wound up that the video was coming out of the red rca connector instead of the yellow?  Anyone else seen this?  Or am I just a retard Huh

Are you using the cable supplied by Neuros ?

I ask because my R2 was shipped with scart connections and I wanted to test the unit with my dvd player RCA connectors. I used a camcorder lead but soon discovered that there are at least two ways of wiring the 4 pole 3.5mm jack plug - ie no common "standard".

I posted the details of the scart connections a month or so ago on this forum so you can check your cable quite easily.

I see no retards...

I dont really know what scart is so

The cable is the one that came with it.  It has the connector for the neuros and it splits into 3 RCAs-red, yellow and white.  Anyone have a pic I can compare mine with?

Its not a big deal really, just wondering why the vid is coming from red not yellow.

I think you have a mis-wired cable.
Red is usually right channel audio.

See if you're yellow will pass audio by plugging it in to either red or white.

Someone fell asleep at the factory..........or................disgruntled employee

Scart is an alternate video/audio connection system primarily used in Europe.

The connections to your cable should be as follows:

4 pole connector - from body to tip

Body - Red - audio right
Next - Ground (common)
Next - Yellow - video
Tip  - White - audio left

You can check this with a simple multimeter, battery/bulb, buzzer etc. If you get this checked and it is incorrect then ask Neuros to supply new cables.

If the cable checks out okay then it is wired wrong within the unit itself.
