Neuros MPEG 4 Recorder 2 Firmware upgrade to 1.03.0090
This new firmware (1.3.90) will add support for Seagate 4GB and 8GB micro drives in addition to Hitachi (up to 6GB) and IBM (1GB).
The new interface will also support 6 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Chinese. Here are the instructions to install the new firmware:
1. Check out which version of firmware you currently have on the Recorder 2. Go to the Setup Menu, click on the Enter Button on the remote and scroll down to the second page of the menu. If you already have version v1.03.0090 on your unit, you do not need to upgrade the Recorder.
2. You should format the flash card you will use to upgrade the Recorder 2.
a. If you use a memory stick, format the card with the PSP.
b. If you use a CF card, format the card with the Recorder 2. Go to the Setup Menu, scroll down to Format Disk, click enter and when prompted if you want to format, highlight Yes and click on the Enter button on the remote.
3. Download the VCR4800.BIN file from our support page to your PC. Cut and Paste the VCR4800.BIN file on your freshly formatted card (you will need a card reader if you don’t have a flash card slot on your PC).
4. Insert the card in the appropriate card slot of the Recorder 2.
5. You Recorder will have to be connected to your TV and powered on.
6. Use the Arrow on the remote to navigate the Menu on the top of your TV screen and highlight the Setup Menu. Click on the Enter button to enter this menu.
7. Highlight the Upgrade option using the remote. This is the last option at the bottom right of your screen and click on the Enter button.
8. When Prompted if you want to upgrade select Yes and click on the Enter button.
9. The upgrade will take one minute and the unit will shut itself off.
10. Power the unit on and check the firmware version as described in 1. You should now see v01.03.0090
