Hi, I just received my Recorder 2 and was really excited to try it out, but it does not work.
The unit powers up and is green when plugged in, but I get no function from the remote.
I am hoping that the battery is just dead although it is brand new out of the box and I pulled the little battery protector paper out of battery slot of the remote.
I now need to try and find a battery to see if that is all it is, but if not, will neuros help me out? |

In case you have not tried this yet: Connect both set of cables The AV in (from the video source) The AV out (to your TV) Make sure you point the remote at the small IR window on the unit. If that does not do the job, try another power outlet if possible. If you are still out of luck call support 1 866 5 NEUROS

| Just something that I missed initially was that the green LED on the unit does not tell you if the thing is turned on or not. It only indicates that the thing is plugged into a power source. You have to press the 'red' power button on the remote to get it to start up. Nothing shows on your monitor/tv until then. |

Thanks for the replies. I am at work now, but have bought a new battery today for the remote. I will try the things stated above.
The red button on the remote does not do anything. |

Well, I have tried a new battery and both sets of cables. Still does not work.
The IR button on the remote does not go red as most remotes do when activating a button. There is no change, no color, or whatever, so I think the problem may be a defective remote.
I guess I will be on the phone with Neuros when I get a chance unless anybody else has any othe suggestions.
Thanks |

Quick way to check the remote: Take a digital camera (or the camera in your cellphone), activate the viewfinder, then point the remote towards the camera and press any button on it. The camera will make the IR light visible, adn you should see the LED of the remote flicker (Just had to do this myself today as I also received my Neuros Recorder 2 this morning - in the European version from the German distributor, the Scart-Adapters are labelled the wrong way round, causing some confusion :-)
