I just came across the OSD, it looks kinda cool but I couldn't fine a specification page, ie, unit's mains voltage power input, video  recording info etc.
can anyone point me to correct page?
thanks

Hey Eric,
has this page enough info: http://wiki.neurostechnology.com/index.php/Neuros_OSD

Someone mentioned the OSD using about 20-30watts when active, and sod all when idle. It has a power adapter accepting anything from 100-240Volts.

That was fine however can only see NTSC settings (720x480). The OSD looks so versatile that I'm sure there's a PAL patch somewhere.
Looks like a must have

It outputs either PAL or NTSC, so no problem there.

I'm running PAL, fyi max recording resolution is 672x448 at 2500kbps, 30fps. Playback performs exactly the same for PAL as NTSC.

It arrived in the post the other day.

Straight forward to set up

I've got a couple questions
1) Does it matter if I get a class 2 flash card? or do I need class 4
2) One touch recording, is there a pluggin for quickly setting the recording time instead of using the scheduled recorder?

So far looks great, I'm a little disappointed with the stand, it seems very flimsy but otherwise a great machine and i feel I haven't even scratched the surface yet.

You have to use class 2 flash cards. Support for class 4 cards is not enabled (not sure at this point if the HW will allow it).

There is a Default Recording option in the settings menu you can edit yourself, you can also setup recording parameters and choose 'SAVE AS DEFAULT' in the recording menus. The settings you choose will the be kept for all the recordings you make.

I've got 3 external usb hard drives and the osd can only read one, i think it must be a FAT32 thing, is this true, any way around this?
thanks
Still well please with the osd, converting all my DVD's ;-)

At the moment, the OSD can only read USB HDs formatted with FAT32, ext2 & ext3. NTFS will be supported soon, they're just ironing out the bugs. I'd imagine it'll be released in 2 weeks time (just a guess)?
