Firstly does this thing record from UK tv - right now we have black and white pic with  a balck band across the top third of the screen?HuhHuh?
Also won't recognise three out of four of our external hard drives through the USB
Also recorded a DVD onto a compact flash card - great recorded ok and plays back on tv ok but when I put card into card reader on PC it will only play the audio -
That is just for starters??
Any ideas anyone??

Your PC needs an mpeg4 decoder. Go to FreeCodecs.com and download the K-Lite codec pack and do a standard install.

What firmware version are you using?
For the white and black display, make sure you use the Pal setting (settings/ regional settings) if the Pal/Ntsc buttoon ont the top left of the remote does not do the trick.
The USB our external hard drives have to be formatted with FAT 32  ext2 or ext3, the OSD will not recognize NTFS (we are working on this)
You can install a program called VLC on your PC, it is free and plays pretty much everything out there (including all the files recorded with the Neuros OSD).
