Hi

I would like to use a Sarotech AIVX (abigs DVP-254) as storage. Inside is a Fujitsu MHV2080 AT disk with 80GB. The benefit is, that i could remove it from OSD and play movies elsewhere directly from USB disk. So, that's theory. Fact is, that i have a lot of problems until now.:

This AIVX works properly on Win2000 and XP formatted with FAT32 and NTFS without any additional drivers. On OSD i have some different problems with both FAT32 and NTFS. Sometimes it's completely not recognised even after reboot. Sometimes it crashes while trying to show the files and folders on it.  Sometimes it plays movies from disk, but is readonly for recording. This all with using separate power supply for AIVX. Strange is that it's working mostly better with NTFS.

How to dig into such problems? Is it worth to upgrade to another OSD firmware? I have latest stable now. How to solve this?

Regards

Hi

After reading dozens of posts in this forum, i also tried to format this 80 GB with 32 GB + 32 GB + 16 GB all in FAT32. All is working now. So the OSD is not able to handle 80 GB on AIVX at once.
