Just received my new Neuros OSD yesterday and everything was very easy to setup. Grin

However I have two Maxtor One touch III USB drives that have been hooked up to my Windows XP for several months.
The Neuros was not able to recognize either drive that are both filled with music and videos.

I see that my Maxtor USB 320GB Drive is formatted in NTSF

I just read in this forum that the drives need to be formatted in FAT32 format ?

Why was this older format chosen ?

I also understand this now limits drive size to 32GB?

What is the best utility people have found to work around this limitation of 10each 32GB partitions on my USB Drive?

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Phil

Hey,
NTFS is a closed Misrosoft standard, that has only been reverse engineered successfully very recently by the linux community. It still requires optimisation & such, and as a result, its performance on the OSD is not acceptable. Hence it not being included.

FAT32 has a limit of 2TB, which isn't quite so bad.
