What about direct Ogg recording?
Could Neuros do it?

You'd really need a floating point DSP. Reimplementing the Vorbis coder in fixed point would be a heck of a lot of work.

that would be cool to record in oggs..but I guess this would make the Neuros more unstable, since they skip or something.
