I drove from San Jose, CA to Seattle, WA for the Fourth Of July. Saw my family, bunch of friends in Seattle, etc.
It's about a sixteen hour drive, mostly on I-5, up the west coast.
The Neuros ran all the way, both ways, plugged in to the cigarette lighter and broadcasting on MyFi. It worked great, and made the drive very pleasant. Having to stop every couple of hours and change out CDs in the changer... in the trunk... is not helpful. In addition, I couldn't have brought all my CD's, and I have all the music I own in the Neuros.
I did have to change frequencies a few times, as I'd drive in to bigger cities and overrun the space on the dial I was using. I generally just fiddled with the buttons on my radio until I found a blank, then tuned the Neuros to match. I didn't have to stop the car to do this.
I was not driving my usual VW Passat; it was (and is, irritatingly) in the shop. I was driving an '85 Pontiac Fiero, who's radio is much harder for MyFi to talk to, but it worked fine.
Thought I'd share the success, and be happy and gleeful someplace people would appreciate it. |

i drive everyday throughout Rome with my neuros on using MyFi, it works just great!! I had an mp3 cd player last year, and it's just not the same thing! And sometimes i couldn't use it at my friends house, but only on headphones. I had to bring with me tons of CDs and i spent more time looking for the songs i wanted to hear than actually playing music! Neuros is great! |
