I've been quite happy with my Neuros from several months now, but I've just started having problems with it. I would plug it into my computer via USB 2.0 and it wouldn't connect, or it would disconnect shortly after connecting. I realized the problem is with the Neuros' USB 2.0 plug. Something must be loose in it.
I found the connection stays when I hold the plug slightly up from the player. So if I put my Neuros face-down while plugged into USB 2.0, I don't seem to have any problems; face-up and it won't stay connected.
Anyone else seen this problem?

| well, i sometimes get the feeling that the usb socket is not tight enough, so that the connection does not always work right, but that can usually be solved by moving the plug around a bit so it's not as bad as it sounds for you... |

Same problem here. But strangely it often prompts XP to return an error message that says I've connected a USB 2.0 device to a USB 1.0 port! Then it works only at low speed until I re-connect it from the PC side only, and then I regain the high speed connection.

Mine was doing this, took a spill from the desk to the floor while connected
After looking at it, it was actually the usb cable that was bent a little at the Neuros connector. Pair of pliers and bent it back up a little so that the connector was more in the middle....did this on the cable at the end where it connects to the Neuros.
Fixed it , been working great for about 3 months now. |
