I've had my neuros II for a couple of weeks now and I've found that it's difficult to plug in the usb 2.0 connector. Because the metal port/outline of the female connector on the neuros II is not flush to the plastic case and because the whole thing is so small, it's difficult to get the male cable connector into place so that it can slide in. This is all probably a function of the size of the connector (the plastic case is probably not flush to the metal port inside the usb hole because it would be tough to do that with such a small connector, small tolerances) but why did the connector have to be so small in the first place? Please put more thought into the connector for your next device.

Since the USB 2.0 was some kind of upgrade to the Neuros with only 1.1, the platine was already filled up. That was the reason they chose a custom cable/plug in the first place. It was all about space. They already regret it deeply, but at this time it seemed to be the best way!

Custom plug? Isn't the Neuros plug just a USB B-mini? If so, you can find that connector and those cables everywhere. I haven't had a problem with the connector not fitting in. Are you sure something isn't bent?
EDIT: I have a Neuros HD USB1.1 unit, so that makes a difference.
