thanx for digging that up!

if this is the case, then can we get 16-bit 96khz recording enabled :-D

will it do 24 bit without a hardware upgrade?

BUMP!

How does quality compare to a TCD-D8 or the NJB3? Is there anyone who can interpret these numbers?

Take a look at

Hope it helps...

Would you pay $29.99 for a battery powered pre-amp with analog controls (in addition to the controls on the Neuros)?

Yes, absolutely.

I need a recording solution that doesn't require me to drag around media, label it, etc. Something which is "nearly" self-contained would be perfect -- external mic (battery powered or unit powered).

My primary use would be to record jam sessions so I could listen to the music later and transcribe sections.

Secondary use would be recording lectures (like at a music seminar) that mix spoken voice and impromptu playing.

I'm not super interested in audiophile quality, just "good enough" that I can listen to them later without problems. Basically, Radio Shack tape recorder + small external mic quality.

I would buy a unit today if anyone made such a thing. Hopefully you guys get something like this done soon.
