I just started playing with my 442 and here are my first impressions: Very user friendly the gui is really nice and navigates well. I hate that it is non functional with a usb cable plugged into it. I have a hard time getting AVI files to work and when I use the software provided to convert them to MP4 they lose sound not to mention they take forever to convert. The cables including headphones are extremely cheap I would prefer no headphones and have the unit $10 cheaper. I am sure most people have their own high end headphones. you would think for a $400+ device you would get a decent quality my $20 card reader had nicer cables with it. The unit seems very fragile and could use some type of rubber grip. The leather case is not leather at all and fits like a 3rd party case.It would be nice if it was not so bulky and zipped up. The lcd quality is just average but about what I expected. the navigation buttons are very poorly set up especially when you have the case on. The volume button is hard to adjust they should have gone with a toggle instead of seperate buttons and not so close to the power button and not inset. Even though the 442 has its drawbacks I really do enjoy it at this point I am unsure if I am keeping it. If a competitor comes up with a more sleek unit with a lower price I have no problem returning it.
