Plus windows is Much easier to configure to use HDMI audio output
Can someone educate me as to how? I installed windows 7 on my Link, but I have no audio. Windows seems to think I have audio, and the green bars bounce up an down while I'm playign something here:
But the green bars go up an down only when this pulldown option is selected. I can't figure out if I'm supposed to do something to direct the audio thru a different device, or if this is telling me which devices are working.
who have a reciever/amp with optical inputs as an option, would do well to give the link's optical output a try, it's definitely no worse than HDMI audio quality and WAY ,WAY better than what I got using the analog jack to pass audio to my home receiver.
This would probably be preferable anyway, since my TVs speakers are not as good as the ones hooked up to my receiver. But I don't know how to do that either. This is the back panel of my Yamaha TR-5930:
It's not readable there, but in the box #6 by the square inputs it says "OPTICAL", then under that "DTV/CBL" and under that "DVD". I do not have the proper cable, but would be willing to make a trip to RadioShack were I thought it likely I could get optical audio to work.
