VNC Control Issue Resolved?

I was wondering if anyone had worked out a solution to the control issue with the VNC implementation.  I have the connection working fine thanks to all of the well written instructions but it's nearly impossible to control due to the fact that each press of the key on the keyboard appears to send multiple key presses to the OSD.

It's so tantalizingly close to being perfect for my needs. I've searched the forum and haven't come across anything other than a few mentions of the issue by various posters.

Anyone?
