Neuros Firmware - Garbage Branch -HELP!!!

Okay, so in myold player I have version  2.26-os.17 I've had for a very long time.

I recently bought two players from another user that's become a friend, they work great and one had Firmware 2.28 official.

I tried to use the "way back machine" to access the old Garbage Branch pages and all I could get ahold of is
firmware version:  2.26-os.17.0137  thus it's older.

Does anyone know how to "backup" the firmware in the device to a file? and if so, HOW.

I would like to know if the Garbage Branch pages are working elsewhere becasue the pages on Sourceforge are BROKEN.

I would like to see the merged work of Garbage Branch with official 2.28, but since I havn't been able to find such an update,
I like my  2.26-os.17 Garbage Branch.....

2.26-os.17.0137 > 2.26-os.17

But no, I don't know of any way to make a backup of the firmware on a NII...  Nor do I know of any archives of GarBage's firmware.
