The previous one can be programmed to do all functions of the Neuros OSD remote, if you select the dvr to be a sony. I found it to be more responsive than the original OSD remote, and I could also operate my VCR, Stereo and TV with it. I'll take my chances and get one (I have two OSD's).
Maybe someone else wants to try and give us the results.
