Sorry for the blatant commercialism, but I figured people here would be the most interested. I am selling my old Neuros II 80GB unit and my original Neuros 128MB (with, I believe 10 or 20 MB backpack). Both are working fine to the best of my knowledge. Please see my eBay auction:

Very nicely written listing!

1) You can wipe the drives!  Hold 1+5 while turning the unit on, and it will bring up a menu that will let you format both the flash memory and the HDD.
2) The later models in all black are indeed the Neuros II (or Neuros Digital Audio Computer II, depending on who you talk to and how technical you want to get.
3) Yes, the backpacks are all interchangeable, though I believe the firmware has to be over a certain version if the backpack has the USB2 port built in.
4) In addition to MP3 support, Ogg Vorbis (q6 or lower), Wav, and unprotected WMA were also supported.
